Fowlers Pottery was established in Sydney 1837 by Enoch Fowler, an Irish Immigrant. When Enoch died his son Robert took over. By the 1930s they also manufactured in Melbourne. It is the oldest pottery in Australia, still operating today, but does not manufacture domestic pottery, it is owned by Caroma Industries.
They have produced a wide range of glazed earthenware domestic pottery including teapots, chocolate pots, jugs, banded kitchen ware (Cornish ware) in blue and green, toby jugs, vases and promotional pieces.
