Poole Pottery Twintone 1950s England Sepia Mushroom C54

A collection of twintone pottery in the C54 Sepia and Mushroom colour-way that was brought out in the 1930s by Poole Pottery England and produced until 1981.  These pieces have the 1950-60s back stamps.

All the pieces are in excellent condition.  The biscuit barrel would have originally had a bamboo handle.

Biscuit Barrel Size: 14cm tall x 13cm diameter, weight 770g

Preserve/Sugar Pot Size: 9cm tall x 9cm diameter, weight 200g

Platter Size: 31cm diameter, weight 890g

Poole Pottery has operated in Dorset England since 1873 and are still operating today.  They started with architectural ceramics, moved into decorative pottery in the 1900s.  They produced a wide range of art pottery and useful tableware throughout the 1900s.

They attracted some excellent designers/artists for their art pottery and produced the twintone tableware range in a variety of colour-ways over the years.
