Finn Crystal Flora Plate – It pays to know your Mid-Century Glassware
I shop the local trash and treasure markets and charity stores regularly. When I find something that I want for my own collection I will pay a bit more than if I plan to resell it… but it is so nice when I don’t have to.
In April at a local market I picked up this wonderful piece of Finn Crystal from Arabia Finland in the same Flora pattern designed by Oiva Toikka and also made by both Iittala Finland and Nuutajarvi Finland during the 1970s.
It was just sitting on the ground with a bunch of other glass plates and luckily I bent down and went through them to find this 17cm diameter gem for only $2 still with its original label.
