Description
Crown Lynn New Zealand Salt & Pepper Set 1980s Oven Proof
This set is in excellent condition.
I tried to find a pattern name for this set but all I could come up with was the colour. I think it is d.185 made from 1982-1989. This same shape was made in the 1970s with a variety of retro decals like leaves and lines printed on the sides and the top was often a different colour.
Size: 11.5cm tall x 5.5cm diameter at base and 4cm at top
Weight: 240g
Crown Lynn Pottery was established in 1854. They produced a large volume od crockery during WWII for the military and later for the railways.
During the 1970s Crown Lynn was New Zealand’s largest producer of tableware. Its factory at New Lynn made millions of pieces per year. The factory closed in 1989, and Crown Lynn pottery is now keenly sought by collectors.
