Grindley is W.H. Grindley & Co Ltd established about 1880 in Tunstall and Stoke-on-Trent and was operating till 1991.
Alfred Clough Ltd was established in 1936 and purchased several potteries including W.H. Grindley in 1960. White Satin was a shape produced by Grindley with a myriad of different patterns printed on it. I could not find any other pieces in this pattern on-line so I do not know the name.
The ‘Broadhurst Brothers Burslem’ Flag also stamped on the base is interesting as the pattern reminds me of those done by Kathie Winkle who designed for Broadhurst.
